Growth Engineer

A full-stack engineer who owns the funnel: how people find us, what they see first, and whether they come back.

Why this role exists

Our supply of coaches and classes is ahead of our demand. The constraint is distribution, and most of it is engineering: search, landing pages, lifecycle email, attribution, experiments. We want one person who treats growth as a product.

What done looks like in 90 days

  1. Every page a new visitor can land on has a measured conversion rate and an owner.
  2. One experiment a week ships with a readout, win or lose.
  3. Attribution reconciles against Stripe, not against the ad platform.

What you'll do

  • Build and ship the landing pages, onboarding and referral loops in Next.js.
  • Own SEO and answer-engine visibility: structured data, hub pages, content that ranks.
  • Run the lifecycle email and CRM automation, and prove what each message does.
  • Instrument the funnel and keep one honest dashboard.
  • Work alongside the coding agents that write much of our code, and review what they produce.

Who you'll work with

You report to Derek and pair with the content side on what gets published and with the founding engineer on the platform underneath.

What we look for

Must have
  • You have shipped production TypeScript on React or Next.js and can show a conversion number you moved.
  • You can read an attribution report with suspicion and fix the instrumentation.
  • You have used LLM coding tools seriously and know where they fail.
Nice to have
  • Firebase, Stripe, Postmark or a CRM API.
  • You play the games our students play.

What every full-time role gets

  • Remote, with hours set around the people you serve.
  • Equity in the company for every full-time hire: four-year vest, one-year cliff.
  • Hardware and software budget for the work.
  • Free Pro membership and coaching on the platform.

How we hire

  1. 01Intro call30 minutes with Derek. What you have done, what we need, whether it fits.
  2. 02Work sampleA short, paid task from the real job. You keep the work either way.
  3. 03Team conversationAn hour with the people you would work with, on the actual plan.
  4. 04OfferWritten offer with the full compensation breakdown. Decision within a week of your last conversation.
