Building in-house is getting programs killed.
Champions get cut. Title shifts wipe out sunk cost. Administrators have no ROI data to defend the line item. In-house esports is structurally fragile.
Annual cost of Miami University's program before it lost funding in April 2026. The first U.S. varsity esports program.
Championships won by the Illinois State Redbirds' Overwatch team. Dissolved in budget cuts anyway.
Maryville, UCI, SLU & ISU esports programs wiped out by a single title shift.
Esports isn't a cost center. It's a retention engine.
A fraction of the cost. A multiple of the talent.

Run the real platform with your roster before you commit. The $2,500 pilot fee banks as coaching credit for your program. We use the month to onboard your students and set up your program.

What schools ask before they start.
How much does a college esports program cost?
EdTech Magazine puts a basic 10 to 15 player program at $8,000 to $50,000 to start, and a mid-tier program at $50,000 to $300,000. FPS Lounge starts with a $2,500 paid pilot, then licenses from $1,500 a month for 30 seats.
How do colleges find esports coaches?
FPS Lounge assigns pro coaches to your program, so you do not recruit and manage them yourself. Students can also book 1:1 sessions and VOD review with any coach on the platform.
Does FPS Lounge work with high school esports programs?
Yes. High schools use the same license and the same pricing as colleges: a $2,500 pilot, then $1,500 a month for 30 seats or an annual tier.
Does FPS Lounge work with NACE or ECAC programs?
Yes. FPS Lounge is not tied to a league. A current partner program competes through ECAC Esports and trains on the platform.
Do students need their own Pro subscription?
No. Every seat on a license includes full access to courses, live classes and coaching booking. Coordinator-booked coaching hours belong to the program, and athletes can also book their own sessions.
What does the coordinator dashboard report?
It shows activation rate, classes attended, courses started and coaching sessions, with inactive players flagged. One click exports a CSV report for your AD, and the coaching page tracks your program's sessions and hours.
Can we buy coaching hours without a license?
Yes, at $150 an hour, with a simple dashboard to book the coaches we assign you. With a license, hours are $100 an hour and come with the full platform: seats for your roster, rosters and class assignments, reports for your AD, and our team setting everything up. Annual tiers include 20 hours on Core, 60 on Varsity and 150 on Conference, and you spread them across as many titles as you field.
What happens after the 30-day pilot?
The $2,500 pilot fee banks as coaching credit for your program. Students keep access with no re-onboarding.
