Catawba College Esports has competed since 2019 from a dedicated arena in the Cannon Student Center — 12 high-end PCs, with a second 22-PC arena and streaming suite underway. A private college in Salisbury, North Carolina. The program fields Overwatch, League of Legends, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., Valorant, Apex Legends, Marvel Rivals, Rainbow Six Siege and iRacing, competing through ECAC Esports across fall and spring seasons. Its record includes undefeated seasons in Overwatch 2 (2023-24) and League of Legends (2021), and the 2024 Apex Legends Player of the Season. Members earn a $1,000 scholarship ($1,500 for team captains) and can apply for paid work-study roles as an Esports Caster or Program Assistant. Catawba athletes train on FPS Lounge with 1:1 coaching from ranked players, live classes, and the full course library.
